Apiceutical Research Centre Gathers Momentum

Nov 30, 2016

The Apiceutical Research Centre has gathered together some of the finest international scientists and entrepreneurs working with medicinal bee products, in a bid to guide and coordinate research into this emerging field.

Established in 2011 as a non-profit social enterprise, the organisation has the twin aims of developing sustainable medicines and promoting natural beekeeping. The organisation believes that there are numerous challenges that we now face on both a microbiological and macrobiological level, which can be addressed by turning our attention to bees.

The scientific steering group had its initial meeting at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences in November this year and plans to host future meetings regularly. There are also plans in the pipeline to build a world class research and education facility in the UK.
